UUC will welcome the return of Tent City 3 (TC3) this Saturday, March 22. They will load up pallets, tents and all the rest of the stuff to move from the University of Washington to UUC. Once again they will welcome (and need) our help. This is physical labor that includes loading, and later unloading or installing pallet boards; removing or hammering nails; schlepping boxes and more. Some light duty tasks include sweeping, helping some take down their tents or mark their personal belongings before transport, or running masking tape, markers and other limited supplies around the move site.

Your help at either UW or UUC is much appreciated

Arrive anytime and stay for however much time you have available, even if only for an hour or two. You do not need to sign up in advance to assist with the move. It's a good idea to bring your work gloves, if you have them. And, it's good to bring a bottle of water and dress in layers.

• From about 8:30 a.m.–noon, help TC3 load up at their UW site - Most work here will finish up by midday. 
• UUC work will begin mid-morning, from about 10 a.m. through the afternoon.  Early work at UUC will include unloading pallets, large communal tents for the camp kitchen, TC3 entrance and donations storage. By early afternoon many from the TC3 community will bus over to UUC to help unload personal tents and belongings. There will be plenty to do in offering your help to individuals and families as they get set up at UUC.

Since TC3 has to move everything, this is not a good time to bring any donations you might have. They do appreciate donations of supplies, but please give them a few days to get settled in at UUC before you deliver those.

It's a long, tiring day for the TC3 community so your help at either UW or UUC is welcome and much appreciated. And remember, no advance sign up is needed. Stop by as you are able. University of Washington Location - Parking lot W41 at 4029 11th Ave NE (near intersection of 11th Ave NE and NE 41st Street). You'll find it's easiest to approach TC3 here from the east, since 11th Ave NE is a northbound one-way near the camp. The TC3 camp is tucked near UW's Condon Hall on a dead-end street. You'll find street parking in the neighborhood within a few blocks. 

UUC Location - TC3 will set-up in the south end of the UUC parking lot. However, on Saturday, trucks will be moving in and out of the UUC lot, so please plan to use street parking during the move.
