Ecstatic Dance

Friday, February 14, 6–8 p.m. in Nathan Johnson Hall

Ecstatic dance is a spiritual practice. The music starts slow, gets faster, and slows down at the end. No dance experience required, no special steps needed. Come move, or sit and listen to the music.

The event attracts adults of all ages. There are parents, elders, AND young adults. Never know who’s going to show up but it’s always multi-generational! We all dance (or sit) together to music. Show up late or leave early—it's OK.

Like specific music? Email Joplin with the songs you like and they’ll be included on the playlist.

Childcare? Email Joplin with the names and ages of your kids.
