Join us this Sunday for a morning celebrating UUC’s annual summer day-camp. This year in our first week of Camp we explored our interdependent web, learning about our food systems, trying new-to-us recipes, and even visiting a farm! In our second week, we entered the magical, parallel universe of Univelaria and joined the Univelarian Fantastickal Forest Guild. There, we met Peri the Raccoonicorn, and practiced the values of our faith.
This Sunday, we will share about our Camp experiences, celebrate the accomplishments of our Campers, and Aria Curtis, Director of Family Ministry, will share some reflections about the important role of summer camp in faith development.
Our plate collection this morning will go to Camp Blue Boat.
In addition to this fun and lively service, the Annual Family Ministry Art Show will open on Sunday. Featuring an origami display by two of our campers, art created at Chalice Camp will feature prominently. However, we’ll also include art collected throughout the year in our programs for children and youth at UUC.
A reception will follow the service, in celebration of Chalice Camp and the Art Show.
For more information about Chalice Camp, please contact Director of Family Ministry, Aria Curtis at aria.curtis@uuchurch.org.
