Social Justice Jam: Exploring Ongoing Engagement Around Homelessness

Wednesday, February 7, 6:15–8:45 p.m. in Nathan Johnson Hall

Hosted by the the church's Social Justice Steering Committee and Rev. Beth, our Social Justice Jams are a monthly opportunity for folks to come together from across the congregation around a justice topic. They are held on the first Wednesday of the month, with a simple soup dinner starting at 6:15 p.m. where you can meet others interested in engaging in our local community.

The topic for the February 7 Social Justice Jam is to explore how UUC might build upon our work related to homelessness—from our long-time work like the Teen Feed meal team, to more recent work in hosting Tent City 3 and also hosting two recent holiday meals at the Facing Homelessness Window of Kindness—to our partnership with Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness over the last few years.

No need to RSVP—just show up and join the conversation.
