On February 7 we will begin the Great Decisions 2024 program from the Foreign Policy Association, an annual program that fosters debates about pressing global issues facing the U.S. The first 2024 session on Mideast Realignment provides valuable background information and analysis for current crises ranging from the Israeli-Hamas war and Houthi attacks in the Red Sea to the recent strike against a U.S. military base in Jordan. A video with Jeffrey Morton, Florida Atlantic University, outlines policy issues, and sets the stage for our discussion.

Subsequent 2024 topics are climate technology and competition, science across borders, U.S.-China trade rivalry, NATO's future, understanding Indonesia, High Seas Treaty, and pandemic preparedness.
