Volunteers Needed for Family Ministry Programs

Have you ever felt inspired by a Coming of Age or Youth-led service? Curious about Sexuality Education? Delighted by the sight of young kiddos talking and sitting together during coffee hour?

This inspiration, curiosity, and delight is not something that happens magically and out of nowhere. In fact, it is the result of many hours of dedication, care, and commitment by many, many volunteers. Community is something we create together. Our collaboration and cooperation are what makes a vibrant and nourishing church community and Family Ministry program possible - and ensure its sustainability.
You can be a part of making this happen for our current and future children.

There are many ways to get involved with Family Ministry at UUC

  • Do you enjoy working with children? Are you interested in deepening your own spirituality? Consider volunteering with our Roots (K-2nd Grade) and Wings (3rd-5th Grade) groups.
  • Are you task and organization oriented? Think about signing up (in UUC Connect) to help out with supply prep and room set up.
  • Do you enjoy baking or cooking? Consider contributing to snacks on Sundays or to Parent Night Out meals.
  • Are you skilled at event coordination or party decoration? Help us plan some special events, like the Holiday Decorating party.

All of these are meaningful ways to contribute your gifts to this community and get to know some new people. All of these have the potential to be opportunities for deepening your spiritual life and faith practice.

If you are interested in any of the above volunteer opportunities, please contact Aria Curtis, Director of Family Ministry. Please include information about your volunteer interests. Those interested in helping out with supply prep or other administrative tasks can go ahead and sign up directly through UUC Connect.
