Homecoming Sunday: worship services at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m.

The first Sunday after Labor Day weekend is UUC’s Homecoming Sunday, when we welcome one another back from summer activities and rhythms. We celebrate the start of our new church year and a return to two Sunday morning worship services, at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Rev. Jon Luopa and Rev. Beth Chronister will lead an upbeat service, with music by the Loft Choir and Handbell Choir.

Adult learning, volunteering, and justice programs that have been on hiatus for the summer begin returning to regular meeting schedules. Our Family Ministry programs start back up again too, with in their own small groups for elementary-age children and older youth during the 11:15 a.m. service. Sprouts care for our youngest UUs is offered in the Children’s Suite during both services. You’ll begin finding more parent groups and family events (including a Youth Families Homecoming Potluck at 12:45 p.m. on September 10) on the church calendar, too.

Sunday worship at UUC includes music, reflection, sermon, and connection, with informal Coffee & Conversations afterwards in Nathan Johnson Hall. UUC Worship Services are also live streamed and available for later viewing.
