Conversation With the Board

Sunday, January 14, 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in Knatvold and via Zoom*

January’s topic for our Conversation With the Board is the proposed revision to Article II of the Unitarian Universalist Association bylaws, including the "Principles and Purposes." A conversation will be held after each service in the Knatvold Room, one beginning at 10:45 a.m. and one beginning at 12:30 p.m. Childcare will be available in the Children's Suite for the second session only.

The Board will be asking those attending to share:

  • What resonates with them about the existing Principles and Purposes?
  • What resonates with them about the proposed Principles and Purposes?
  • What, if anything, they would change about the existing Principles and Purposes?
  • What, if anything, they would change about the proposed Principles and Purposes?

The UUA Board of Trustees has invited all who are interested to review the proposed version of Article II. You can read the proposed revision online. The current version of the UUA Bylaws is also online (see page 6 for Article II).

The revised Article II will be the subject of a vote at the UUA General Assembly in June, 2024.

UUC will be seeking General Assembly delegates in the spring, with delegates approved by the Board by May. Notes from the January Conversations With the Board will be provided to the selected delegates for their consideration prior to the General Assembly.

We look forward to hearing from you!
