UUC’s Second Sunday Plate collections serve as a direct expression of our faith through justice and service work. January's Second Sunday Plate will go to Wa Na Wari. This organization creates space for Black ownership, possibility, and belonging through art, historic preservation, and connection. The donated funds will be earmarked for their Artist-in-Residence Program and their Art Gallery, which offer support and recognition to emerging artists of color.  The new art exhibit in the UUC Chapel Gallery, “ Echoes of the Heart“, features paintings by Bonnie Hopper, an artist who benefitted from Wa Na Wari’s Artist-In-Residence program.

You may add your donation to the plate at the Sunday morning service, donate online through UUC Connect (select Special Plate and specify January plate) or send your check to the UUC office, with the memo noted as 2nd Sunday Plate - January.
