Support UCC’s Social Justice Partner NWIRP

Join other UUCers at their fundraiser on Thursday, April 20

Through our Second Sunday Plate Collections and in other ways, UUC partners with a variety of social justice organizations in the community. One of our longest standing partners is the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP).

Prior to the pandemic, UUC members regularly joined together to attend NWIRP’S annual spring gala fundraiser. This year an in-person gala returns on April 20. It will honor Jorge Barón, the organization’s Executive Director of fifteen years, who is moving on after overseeing a significant and much needed expansion of their efforts.

UUC’s Social Justice Steering Committee (SJSC) invites UUC members and friends to join together to attend the Gala. Current and former SJSC members who cannot attend will cover the cost of attendance for up to four people who would like to attend but cannot afford to do so. Donations will be requested at the event (it’s a fundraiser, after all!)

If you are interested in attending this fun event, sign up here: https://www.nwirp.org/gala/. Specify that you want to be seated at the UUC table(s) hosted by Debbie Maranville and Roberta Ray. To help us keep track of who is attending and/or if you want your ticket price covered, please email Debbie at dmaranville@comcast.net.
