Special Message from Rev. Jon Luopa

Reverend Jon Luopa has a special message and request for our congregation about this year's Courage to Hope Giving Campaign. Please watch the video to hear his remarks.

This upcoming church year, we have a heavy financial lift to fully fund our growing Family Ministry program, ensure that our staff have an annual Cost of Living adjustment, pay for the increased expenses to maintain and care for our building, and plan for the additional costs associated with converting our line of credit balance for our renovated building to a commercial loan. At this time, pledges are coming in more slowly than the past four years and we are concerned about the implications for next year's staffing and programming.

We may have to make some difficult decisions very soon.

We appreciate those of you who have already submitted your pledge. If you are able to, please consider if you can increase your pledge amount. If you have not yet pledged, please do so by April 15, as the Board will be discussing the preliminary budget at their April 20 meeting. Every gift, no matter the amount, is important and helps us get closer to meeting our needs. If you have already pledged and would like to increase it, please contact Byron Krystad (byron.krystad@uuchurch.org) at the church office to enter the change for you.

As Reverend Jon says in his letter to our congregation, “This place which nurtures your courage to be hopeful needs your financial support.” Thank you.
