Wednesday Forum: Pandemic Preparedness

Wednesday, June 5, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in Knatvold and via Zoom

The June 5 Forum will consider Pandemic Preparedness, the last topic in the Great Decisions 2024 program. This session focuses on COVID-19 in the context of pandemics over the millennia. With hundreds of new viruses having been identified in recent years, COVID will surely not be the last. How the United States and the global community of nations can prepare for and respond to future pandemics is the subject of the background reading and video.

On June 12, the last Forum before the summer break, we will have a potluck with the theme of South Asian cooking, an outgrowth of the session on Indonesia. (We will be meeting a week early on June 12 since UUC is closed for the Juneteenth holiday on June 19.)

All are welcome to join the Wednesday Forum, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in person in the Knatvold Room or via Zoom. If you are not already on the Forum list and would like to be, to receive the Zoom link and regular notices, please contact the UUC office at office@uuchurch.org or (206) 525-8400.
