Wednesday Forum: Climate Technology

Wednesday, February 21, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in Knatvold and via Zoom

On February 21 we will continue the Great Decisions 2024 program from the Foreign Policy Association, an annual program that fosters debates about pressing global issues facing the U.S. The second session focuses on Climate Technology including global trade and green energy. The background materials review clean energy options and the technical, economic, and political obstacles that block the way. This information will provide the context for our discussion about the transition from an economy based on fossil fuels.

Booklets from the Foreign Policy Association for $35 are available for order at https://www.fpa.org/great_decisions/?act=gd_materials.

Subsequent 2024 topics are science across borders, U.S.-China trade rivalry, NATO's future, understanding Indonesia, High Seas Treaty, and pandemic preparedness.

All are welcome to join the Wednesday Forum. If you are not already on the Forum list and would like to be, to receive the Zoom link and regular notices, please contact the UUC office at office@uuchurch.org or (206) 525-8400.
