Rev. Mary Katherine Morn will be in the pulpit for our Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) worship services on October 27. Her sermon that morning: "Another World is Possible."
Join Rev. Mary Katherine after the services to learn more about the UUSC, with a mission to advance human rights and justice around the world, in partnership with communities impacted by oppression. For more than eight decades, the UUSC has been striving to lift up the voices of those impacted and often displaced by climate, conflict and economic crises. The work of the UUSC began in 1939, with a Unitarian minister helping refugees escape Nazi persecution. Today, strategic priorities span from climate-forced displacement, to human rights abuses at the southern border, to promoting grassroots leadership in Burma, and more.
About Rev. Mary Katherine: after 30 years in faith-based leadership, she joined the UUSC as President in 2018. She has helped to grow a number of progressive congregations, serving their members and the larger community. Prior to joining UUSC, she was engaged with many justice areas—economic, racial, reproductive, LGBTQI+ and homelessness.
