Volunteers ages 10 and up are invited to join in preparing sack lunches at UUC for people experiencing homelessness. Some volunteers purchase or bake items at home and drop them off; others come to prepare sandwiches and pack lunch bags.

We work together on the first Monday and third Saturday mornings of each month at 10 a.m. Our summer dates are: June 3, June 15, July 1, July 20, August 5, and August 17. Volunteers can sign up for a particular date starting about two weeks ahead of time.

Sack lunches are distributed to people living at The Oaks Shelter on Saturdays, and to those using God’s L’I Acre Day Center on Mondays. Both programs are operated by Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness (LCP).
