Many thanks to the members and friends of UUC who responded so generously to the recent donation drive sponsored by the UUC Homelessness Ministries Team. Several carloads of items to help keep folks healthy and warm were delivered to God’s L’il Acre Day Center and Tent City 4 during the two-week drive. These included tents, tarps, sleeping pads, cots, sleeping bags, blankets, flashlights and batteries, warm clothing, shoes and boots, and lots of hygiene supplies. God’s L’il Acre staff member Hannah Egass said, “Wow! This is great! We can really use these things!”   A few minutes later, a Welcome Volunteer at Tent City 4 sorting through the donations said “Someone was just asking for a tarp this morning! I’ll give this to him now.” Everyone was very appreciative of our concern for their well-being.
