Come meet with a member of UUC's Awakening Spirit Adhocracy to learn about what this team does. The volunteer leaders of this team work with the Director of Ministries to consider, implement, and guide programs to support UUC's mission to "Awaken spirit...," focusing on adults of all ages. Programs include UU history & theology, discerning vocation (calling), spiritual practices, and spiritual direction—coaching or companioning for the spiritual journey. For example, they have helped run the congregation’s Reflection Groups on various books.
What sort of spiritual awakenings are congregants looking for? What programs has the team provided? How does the Awakening Spirit Adhocracy decide which books or events to promote? What sorts of events get the biggest responses from the congregation? What’s coming up next? Come ask your questions and learn about the work of this important team.
On November 14, we will discuss coffee hour, what it is and what it might become, with special guest Susan Howlett. No session November 28. On December 12, we will discuss proposed changes to UUA governance & congregational polity.
The 4th Principle Dialogue Group promotes the “free & responsible search for truth & meaning,” pursuing the congregational goal of Connected Community. We get to know each other and connect to each other through meaningful, open-hearted dialogue. Drop-ins welcome. Homework not required. See more in UU Connect.
