UUC established its Climate Action Team in the spring of 2014. The team advocates for policies that address injustices already set in motion by past and present emissions. The work of climate justice is aligned with our UU Principles, including, justice, equity and compassion in human relations and respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

“Around us, life bursts with miracles--a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops . . . When we are tired and feel discouraged by life's daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.” Thich Nhat Hahn
