Please plan to attend the 2024 Annual Congregational Meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 9 following the shortened service (which will start at 10 a.m.) All members in good standing* are eligible to vote on motions to elect trustees and to approve the annual operating budget. Official meeting materials will be posted on the church web site and available in the church office on May 24.

The draft agenda is as follows:

2. Approval of Agenda
3. Approval of minutes of the 2023 Annual Meeting
4. Remembrance of those we have lost
5. Reflections from Rev. Jon M. Luopa and Board President Patricia Graesser
6. Election of new Board members and Moderator
7. Motion and congregational vote to approve 2024–2025 Fiscal Year Operating Budget
8. Report from the Anti-Racism Discernment Team
9. Member-submitted resolution to study unemployment insurance for employees of UUC
10. Adjournment

Per UUC Bylaws Article III, Section 3.1(a)(1), additional agenda items supported by 10 or more members in good standing may be submitted to the Board President by May 19 for inclusion on the official agenda.

Per UUC Bylaws Article IV, Section 4.3(b), nomination by petition for additional Board Member candidates by 10 or more members in good standing must be submitted to the Board President by May 19 for inclusion in the election.

There are three ways to participate in the Annual Meeting:

• All members in good standing who chose to participate in person at the church will check in at the check-in desk to receive a voting card. 
• Members in good standing who wish to attend via Zoom will need to pre-register using this form. After registering, they will receive the meeting number and passcode from the office. Note that in the Zoom meeting, one connection = one vote. In a household with two church members who will only use one Zoom connection on one device (representing one vote), one of those members must submit an absentee ballot prior to the meeting to have their vote counted.
• Members in good standing who will not participate on June 9 in any way but wish to vote absentee can submit an absentee ballot starting May 24. A link to an online ballot and paper copies of ballots will be available beginning on that date. Completed paper absentee ballots signed by a member in good standing must be postmarked by Wednesday, June 5, to be received in time for counting prior to the meeting.

The meeting will be livestreamed simultaneously on June 9 at 10:30 a.m. Check the church website homepage for information on viewing the live stream. Individuals who observe the meeting on live stream will not be able to participate in any discussion or voting in the meeting, regardless of their membership status.

* According to the Bylaws, a "member in good standing" shall have (i) completed a prescribed orientation program; (ii) made at least one unrestricted contribution of record during the past twelve (12) months; and (iii) signed the membership roll.
