Child Dedication Ceremony

Sign up by Monday, December 11

Parents/guardians are invited to sign up to have their child dedicated in a special ceremony during the upcoming Family Holiday Service on Sunday, December 17.

In this meaningful ritual, led by the Ministers and Director of Family Ministry, parents dedicate themselves to their children, vowing to help their children become "fearless, impartial, and reverent seekers after truth, beauty and goodness." In turn, the congregation welcomes your child into our church community, covenanting to share with you " part of [your child's] search for widening knowledge, genuine understanding, and unfolding love."

Families interested in having their child dedicated in the ceremony during the Family Holiday Service on December 17 should sign up by Monday, December 11, using this form

Traditionally this ceremony is done with little ones, but we welcome children up to age 18 to be dedicated. Membership at UUC is not a requirement for participation in this ceremony; we welcome any child from the community to be dedicated. Following this upcoming ceremony, the next Child Dedication Ceremony will take place in June, 2024.
