UU Youth Mini-Talent Show

Our UUC Youth Ministry hosted a UU Youth Mini-Talent Show on Saturday, April 1, that was so fabulous! We invited other UU youth from around the Seattle area and twenty-seven people from four UU congregations attended the event. We turned Nathan Johnson into a coffee show/comedy club for the talent show portion of the night. Our MC was Chris Pollina, the Director of Religious Education from Shoreline UU, who did an amazing job.

Talents included a martial arts routine, poetry, jokes, and random musings. We then moved into the chapel to hear UUC youth Via Storms and her band, The AV Club, perform. The backlit stage and cosmic space clouds and stars projected onto the ceiling transformed the chapel into an amazing performing arts venue. The band worked hard to prepare for this event and completely blew the crowd away. Everyone sat completely enraptured and inspired by their talent and artistry. We closed out the night with karaoke performances by kids and adults alike. From this smashing success, Seattle area youth and youth advisors will work together to plan and put on a Puget Sound area youth cluster event in the fall.
