Science Book Group: Summer Schedule

Next meeting Tuesday, June 25, 7 p.m. in Knatvold and via Zoom

Our book for June is The Spirit Level: Why Equality is Better for Everyone by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett.

"Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett's The Spirit Level: Why Equality is Better for Everyone is the most influential and talked-about book on society in the last decade, now updated with a new chapter on the controversy the book has ignited. Why do we mistrust people more in the UK than in Japan? Why do Americans have higher rates of teenage pregnancy than the French? What makes the Swedish thinner than the Australians? The answer: inequality. This groundbreaking book, based on years of research.” (amazon)

In July (9 & 23) we will discuss Good Reasons for Bad Feelings: Insights From the Frontier of Evolutionary Psychiatry by Randolph M. H. Nesse.

In August (13 & 27) we will discuss Outlive: The Science & Art of Longevity by Peter Attia.

In September we will skip the first week (September 3) and only meet on September 17. Book is yet to be decided.

From September onwards we will switch to meeting on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
