First, please let me thank everyone who has already responded to Rev. Jon Luopa and President Kathleen Cromp’s messages about the need for additional support to meet budgeted goals for July 2023 to June 2024. To date during this giving campaign, 117 households have come forward with a combined increase in their pledges over the prior year of over $143,000! This is a powerful response to the promise of the church’s future. A big thanks to everyone who has increased their pledges, some more than once!

I must apologize that in reviewing messages that have gone out related to increasing already submitted pledges, I have neglected to include instructions on how to increase your pledge after it’s been made in UUC Connect. The answer is very low-tech: Please call me at 206-454-7723 or send me an email at byron.krystad@uuchurch.org to tell me about the increase you’d like to make. Increases to recorded pledges are something I must do on your behalf in the donor database, by design. This low-tech approach helps those of us involved in fundraising stay on top of changes to the campaign, which might otherwise go unnoticed if such changes were “self serve,” so to speak. If you are giving gifts online to fulfill your pledge, I can also help you with making those changes to autopayments at the same time.

I appreciate everyone’s efforts to make the potential of next year’s plans reality, whether that has involved renewing pledges at any level—increasing or not—or making a new pledge if you haven’t pledged before or if you have missed a few years. Everyone’s support is critical to moving the church forward on the congregation’s plans and dreams. Thank you.
