Mark your calendar and find a copy of the book!

UUC's Acting for Racial Justice Team is hosting a book discussion over potluck dinner on Wednesday, May 21, 6:30-8 p.m. Join us to discuss The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World, by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Kimmerer, an Indigenous scientist, is also the author of the bestseller Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants. The Serviceberry, a brief and impactful read, is described as an antidote to the broken relationships and misguided goals of our times and a reminder that "Hoarding won't save us...All flourishing is mutual."

The book is available in the UUC Bookstore, libraries, and commercial booksellers, in a variety of formats. It is also published as The Serviceberry: An Economy of Gifts and Abundance.

This gathering will be in-person only. Please register in advance. Contact Mike Kasprzak with any questions, at dielibelle59@gmail.com.
