Update on Custodial Staffing

Please join me in welcoming Miguel Del Valle as our new weekday Custodian! Miguel began training this week as part of our UUC Custodial Team. He will work Sunday through Thursday from 2-10 p.m. to keep our facilities clean, set up rooms for meetings and events, assist groups with in-room technology for presentations and Zoom programs, keep an eye on who’s coming and going, and secure the building at night.

Miguel is the son of our long-time Friday/Saturday afternoon and evening custodian, Jorge del Valle. Jorge referred Miguel to us and gave him a good review about UUC!

Miguel had been looking for a full-time position after working as a sales associate and sometimes manager at a big box store, and as a fiber optic cable installer. His interests include automotive design, fitness and martial arts, working as a leader and part of a team, and enjoying time with family and friends. He hopes to take online classes to gain skills towards a degree and career in technology. He’s looking forward to getting to know our congregation, friends and visitors.

Floyd Williams has been our full-time custodian since 2021 has chosen to move to part-time starting January 16. He’ll be working Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings to mid-afternoons. Floyd and his spouse Sue are long-time active members at UUC. Sue is looking forward to having him home in the evenings soon, and with more days off to relax, travel a little, and spend time with friends and family.

Thanks to Floyd, Miguel, and Jorge for your work to keep things in good order to support the ministries of this congregation.
