UU the Vote

Sunday, September 1, after the service, in the Knatvold room

Join us this Sunday to write handwritten letters to Get Out The Vote.

We'll gather downstairs in the Knatvold room at 10:30 a.m. or so after the worship service, to write some letters to voters, to share our stories of challenge and inspiration, and to stay connected. Bring your heart and your writing supplies.

~ Steve Carlson and Gayle Childers, volunteer leaders

UU the Vote is a nonpartisan civic engagement initiative focused on strengthening democracy, ensuring free and fair elections, particularly for the currently and historically disenfranchised, in support of a more just world in which all voices are heard. With our UU Values as our guide, we organize on the state and local levels, often through partner organizations, and in collaboration with other members and congregations across the UUA. In 2020, UUC had 100+ volunteers letter-writing, calling and supporting each other in this work. The work is ongoing—we hope you will join us. For more about the national context, see uuthevote.org.
