Homecoming Sunday

September 8 worship services at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m.

Welcoming reception after each for Rev. Doug Wadkins

The first Sunday after Labor Day weekend is UUC’s Homecoming Sunday, when we welcome one another back from summer activities and rhythms. We celebrate the start of our new church year and a return to two Sunday morning worship services, at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Rev. Doug Wadkins and Rev. Beth Chronister will lead the services, with music by the Loft Choir.

Order of Service

Children and teens are invited to gather in the Knatvold room for their own Homecoming Celebration during both services.

There will be a reception after each service to celebrate the start of our church year and to welcome Rev. Doug Wadkins. (Donations of tasty treats happily accepted!)

Our Second Sunday Dedicated Plate this month will go to Common Power Future.

Adult learning, volunteering, and justice programs that have been on hiatus for the summer begin returning to regular meeting schedules. Our Family Ministry programs are starting back up too, with small groups for elementary-age children during the 9:30 and 11:15 services, and teens during the 11:15 service, beginning September 15. Sprouts care for our youngest UUs is offered in the Children’s Suite during both services. You’ll begin finding more parent groups and family events on the church calendar, too.

Sunday worship at UUC includes music, reflection, sermon, and connection, with informal Coffee & Conversations afterwards in Nathan Johnson Hall. UUC Worship Services are also live streamed and available for later viewing.
