Now that the most active part of our annual campaign has ended and a budget for next year has been submitted for your approval at the June 9 Annual Meeting, we write to inform you of some important decisions.

Our Bylaws require that a balanced budget be submitted by the Board to the congregation. The Board approved the budget submitted to them on May 16 as prepared by the Rev. Jon Luopa, as head of staff, and Byron Krystad, Director of Operations, and approved by the Finance Committee.

In our earlier communication we forewarned that we were facing a shortfall in projected income for next year. And that shortfall would require major adjustments in expenses, especially as related to our staff.
