What a fun and joyful Holiday Service we had last Sunday! 

I will confess that I was a little nervous, having never done a no-rehearsal pageant before. But, it turned out to be a wonderful opportunity to include the whole congregation in the telling of this important story, as well as give children lots of options about how they'd like to participate. The pageant script we used was adapted from one by Norman Allen, available on the Unitarian Universalist Association website. To me, it struck the perfect balance of silly and fun, with moments reverence and tenderness—especially with the inclusion of our Child Dedication Ceremony. Overall, I am considering it a big success and I can't wait to see what we can come up with next year! 

Thank you to all our service participants, but especially: Amanda Mack, Aziza Imbier Glick, Arianna, Imbier Glick, Adam Mack, Clara Evans, the Grow Family, the Bianamara Family, Richard West, and Colin Olmsted. And, congratulations and welcome again to Sidney (and his parents, Chelsea and Colin) who was Dedicated on Sunday. 

Lastly, thank you to Lindsey Imbier and John Glick for recording both services! We know it was disappointing to many that, due to circumstances beyond our control, there was no livestream available on Sunday. Tip: These recordings were done on cell phones, so the sound is imperfect and pretty quiet. You may need to turn up your own volume a fair amount to clearly hear the recording.
