Ballots to the Dropbox Together

 Sunday October 27, 3:00 p.m. near Northgate

On October 27, join your North Seattle neighbors from UUC and anyone else you wish to invite in a tribute to civil rights hero John Lewis, honoring the importance of the right to vote. We will march from the Northgate light rail station across the John Lewis Memorial Bridge to the North Seattle College ballot dropbox, a 20-25 minute walk, and deposit our ballots in joyful community.

Meet at the base of the entrance to the pedestrian bridge southwest of the station by the Metro Park & Ride B for Metro customers at 10001 1st Ave NE. For those in cars, street parking is available along 3rd Ave NE, north of NE 100th St. If you can walk one way only, contact organizers to arrange car transportation back to car.

Already voted? We’d still love to have you join us.

Not able to march that distance? Drive to the southwest side of the college and meet us by the dropbox. Turn off College Way North onto N. 95th St. and take an immediate left after turning. The drop box is located in Visitor Lot 2 and is well marked by “Vote” signs.

Weather too uninviting? Same as above.

Note: After preaching at the Sunday Services, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) President Rev. Mary Katherine Morn will talk more about the UUSC between 12:45 and 1:45 p.m. after the second service. The Ballots to the Dropbox event is timed to allow you to participate in both events.

Need more information? Talk to Debbie or Nancy Maranville, or Catherine Ruha.
