What better way to celebrate the dog days of summer than to get together, eat, and sing! AVC members and those interested in joining the AVC this fall are invited to gather on Monday, August 19, 6-8 p.m., at the Good Shepherd Center/Meridian Playground. We'll eat in the covered picnic shelter on the west side of the main building, towards the south end, near the Tilth Gardens. We can sing in the big field afterwards. Note that restrooms are available on-site.

Please bring your own beverage and a dish to share—main dish, side, salad, or dessert. Don't forget a serving utensil. We'll provide paper plates and flatware, or you can bring your own reusables.

Please come with an idea for a song to lead or sing. Instruments are welcome, too.

The Good Shepherd Center/Meridian Playground is located at N 50th & Meridian Ave N in Wallingford. There is a parking lot on the east side of the building, enter from Sunnyside Ave N. Street parking is also available on Meridian Ave N and on N. 49th Street. Metro Bus #62 runs along Meridian, and Bus #44 goes across 45th St., just a few blocks south of the park.
