At the dawn of each new church year a cohort of members of the UUC Care Team finish their service to our community and a new cohort begins.

This year we wish to share our deep gratitude to Dinah Hartley, Jan Hood, and Margaret Sutro for their three years of heartfelt compassion and care to members of our community. Over this time the Care Team accompanied and provided emotional and spiritual support to over 100 people as they navigated illnesses, anticipated and sudden losses, isolation, life transitions, grief, and needs for practical support—as well as celebrated joyful transitions, such as welcoming new babies and engagements. They brought heart, love, and care to the annual Service of Solace and worked hard to support other people and groups at UUC as they engaged in their important work. And they did this all while starting out their tenures online during Covid-19. When you see Dinah, Jan and Margaret at UUC, please join us in thanking and celebrating them for their service to our community!

Joining the UUC Care Team this coming year are Ellen Wallace, Laurie Mann, and Loran Cutsinger. They will serve alongside ongoing members, Becca Hutcheson, Julie Fanselow, Larry Soriano, Steve Elzey, and Steve Johnson. The Care Team is led by Rev. Beth Chronister.
