This Sunday, Oct. 8, we will celebrate and support Share/Wheel with our 2^nd Sunday dedicated plate collection. UUC’s 2^nd Sunday plate collections serve as a direct expression of our faith through justice and service work. 

Share/Wheel is an organization we know well through our close friendship and partnership with Tent City 3, which set up camp in our parking lot this past spring.  In addition to Tent City 3, Share/Wheel sponsors Tent City 4 and a number of shelters, all of which carry a unique and highly effective model of self-management. Through their work, Share/Wheel has enabled participants to experience safety, self-empowerment and a sense of hope, community and family at a most critical time in their lives.  You can find the latest news from Share/Wheel on their Facebook page.

We will be joined this Sunday by two individuals who have both directly experienced and led the high-impact work of Share/Wheel. Please join one of the services to learn more about this remarkable organization.  If you are unable to attend a service on Sunday and wish to contribute to UUC’s plate collection for Share/Wheel, please do so by accessing https://onrealm.org/uuchurch/-/form/give/now, selecting “Special plate” in the “Fund” box and noting the Oct. 8 plate collection in the memo line.
