We are looking for volunteers who are ready to be silly, excited to learn alongside children, and passionate about Unitarian Universalism to join us at Chalice Camp this summer.

Chalice Camp is UUC’s annual, summer day camp for Unitarian Universalist kids. It is a week of fun including music, art, games, worship, and meaningful field trips. Each year, we strengthen children’s Unitarian Universalist identity through these activities, and by supporting the development of friendships that last throughout the year.

In summer 2024, we are offering two whole weeks of Camp and registration is already full! So, we need some extra help from the awesome grown-ups in this church to make Camp happen.

Adult volunteers can help with things like chaperoning field trips, supporting our teens counselors in leading activities and craft projects, reading stories, and all sorts of good stuff. The time commitment of these volunteer positions are pretty flexible and we will work with your availability to put together a doable and fun volunteer schedule for you.

July 22-26: Foodie Fun
 

Our first week of camp will focus on interdependence through the lens of food! In addition to the empowering experience of developing cooking and baking skills, children will learn about where their food comes from, how it gets from there to their home, and

who makes that happen. We’ll experiment, try new things, and even visit an urban farm.

July 29-August 3: Fantasy Camp 
 

Week two of Chalice Camp started as “Wizarding Academy,” but has since transformed into something even more wonderful. Through the magic of imagination and storytelling, we'll be transported to a fantasy land, where magical creatures have come to life. Campers

will learn about our Unitarian Universalist values through play and games.
