May 30 ARJT Potluck and Stories

Thursday, May 30, 5–8 p.m. in Knatvold and via Zoom

Event with members of the Alliance of Earth, Sky, and Water Protectors.

Please join members of UUC's Acting for Racial Justice Team for a potluck and stories from Indigenous people who are on the frontlines of climate change. Come hear Freddie Lane (Lummi), Ester Yazzie-Lewis (Navajo), and Lithia Booi (South Africa) are building solidarity and fighting the threats to Mother Earth and their communities. Freddie Lane said that doing the work of acting to protect the land, sky, and waters is his religion. Come hear how love, gratitude, and courage are inspiring the work of justice.

The potluck will begin at 5 p.m. in Knatvold. Come when you can and meet our guests. The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. (Note that there will be a Zoom option for those who can’t join us in person.) Hope to see you there!
