UUC Supplies Drive for Tent City 4

May 12–24: donation tables in Nathan Johnson Hall and in the downstairs atrium

SHARE/WHEEL has announced that Tent City 4 (TC4) will re-open on Saturday, May 18 at 3212 NE 125 Street after a pause in their operations. They will be hosted by the Mennonite Church and their stay will last until mid-May 2025. At this site they will have access to indoor as well as outdoor amenities. (TC4 is a sibling to Tent City 3, the encampment that UUC hosted last year.)

TC4 will need supplies. Lots of them. We can help.

When:

On Sundays

  • May 12 and May 19, before or after either service at the donation tables in Nathan Johnson Hall and at the downstairs entrance in the atrium.

During the week (through Friday, May 24)

  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, (i.e. during the church office hours) or when you arrive to participate in a scheduled event outside of church office hours

What:

  • tarps
  • tents, 1- and 2-person (e.g. Coleman Skydome)
  • flashlights
  • blankets/bedding
  • milk crates
  • water jugs/filters
  • first aid kits
  • tools
  • buckets
  • cleaning supplies
  • Little Buster grabbers

Note: TC4 will also need larger supplies that UUC is not equipped to store or transport. If you have access to items such as plywood, pallets, large tents, or microwaves, please call the SHARE/WHEEL Office at 206-956-03344 or email shelters@sharewheel.org for drop-off instructions, or to ask questions.
